Very nice place to eat in with a nice and cozy atmosphere. The staff was lovely and we even got introduced to Tennent's beer for the first time thanks to one of the staff members. Had a great time there, thank you

Can't fault it, the food, service and menu were spot on. Great vibrant atmosphere and the speed and quality of the food was a very nice surprise considering how busy it was. We didn't book and they found us a table no problem. A 10% service charge was added to the bill (the waitress warned us about it and say it's optional it can be removed) we were happy to pay as the staff where very good.

I absolutely love the atmosphere at The Citizen Glasgow restaurant! Gorgeous design, two levels, beautiful bar area! I enjoyed my food too! I would order something less spicy, though. The chicken cassoulet was good but super flaming hot! I tried a few other menu items, too. Read the ingredients carefully on the menu items. Everything was cooked well and very flavorful, but several dishes have extreme spice to them. Drinks are well made! The service was good too. Great spot for dinner in Glasgow Scotland.

I don’t really understand some of the recent negative reviews as our experience was excellent. We visited on a Saturday evening but were able to get a last minute reservation. It was busy and noisy but it’s a beautiful and interesting building. The staff were friendly, professional and prompt with service. But the best part was the food! My husband had the steak and sausage pie and I had the winter salad with halloumi. This salad was absolutely memorable and overall this was our best meal after 10 days in Scotland. Wish we could go back!

First time visiting the Citizen, and it certainly won’t be my last. From the second of stepping through the front door, the service was incredible. Every member of staff was dressed immaculately & had a fantastic manner. All three courses were out of this world - highly recommend the haggis Bon Bons, lamb rump & cheesecake. A faultless experience - already looking for an excuse to come back.

Brilliant place to eat out in Glasgow. Staff are super friendly and attentive. Food is great, beautiful decor. Will definitely be back again in the future.

Food was excellent. Steak pie was so delicious. Juicy chunks of beef inside. Pastry of the pie was flaky and tasty. Truffled mashed potatoes were very nice, and Dan Dan Brocolli was yummy. Prices were reasonable, and service was very efficient. It didn't take long for the food to come, and they cleared the plates very fast. A pretty popular hopping place, even though we went on a Wednesday evening. Convenient location in the city centre. Would not hesitate to return.

It's buzzing. Spacious and comfortable Glasgow has some magnificent buildings, there is money in this city and it shows. To be able to maintain the standard of food and the upkeep and running of such an establishment is eye watering in regards to the cost. 69 pounds for 2 courses plus drinks was a bargain. The food was excellent without fault.
